I started doing stand up in 2005 because I was developing a ‘Whoopi Goldberg’ as a character in my class with Susan Batson. I yearned to try it when I lived in Los Angeles but I never got the guts to get up there.

I felt it was important as an actor to truly step out of my comfort zone so I took a course at The New York Comedy School, which culminated in my first performance at Caroline’s on Broadway. I carried on doing stand up for four more years, stretching and growing as an artist. A priceless experience. I recommend it to All actors to try at least once.
